Hello Guys,

I am really happy that you have started the discussion about Host1Plus. My name is Vincentas one of co-founders of Host1Plus and I have accidentally spotted this post over the Google search.
Well, as I see that some of you think that this is some kind of scam, but truly we are giving away the beta cloud vps. You will ask me why we charge $1.00 fee...That is because we want to be sure that the beta testers is genuine and if any abuse will come we will be able to check their identity. That is a reality and we want to avoid as much as possible of the abuse coming from our network.
By the way, thank you very much to everyone who have signed up with us as a beta testers. We will make sure that you will get huge discounts after the beta cloud period as we really want that you will stick with us.
We have our goals how Host1Plus should look like and what services we provide. Still we are in the middle of achieving them.

Anyway, who is interested to have professional vps for long term I believe nothing stops them to pay verification fee. I do not see any problem up there. In my experience, that if $1.00 can't not be afforded, that means the beta tester is not really interested or there are other intentions, etc.

That isnt correct IMO, just because you cant pay the verification fee, that doesnt mean that you might not be geniune, nor does it mean that you are not interested.

Not everyone can pay, even if its a verification fee. There are other identity verification methods, for the love of God!

If the user wants to pay for a VPS, $1 for 3 months of usage on a Cloud VPS is a steal. This is a business, they don't make money by giving things away. Also the amount of money they save by not having to get rid of abusers outweighs any potential customers they may gain by giving it away free.
