ninetailfox97's suggestions are pretty good.

You can also do a kind of raffle where users have to visit your site everyday to enter in the draw.

Though, the only way this will continually generate traffic is if you give the VPS away to whoever wins each month. That is have the contest each month.

yeah, you could have a kind of free monthly trial. keep it for a month and enter the contest again.

Not going to work. There are already lots of 1 mth trials out there.
Contest? You remind me of that guy who had posted on FWS a referral contest and gavbe us a little VPS for testing out things for 3 months... if we want to test something we have these trials, but no additional effort should be required...

Just because you don't want it doesn't mean someone else doesn't. Besides, most of the good trials require you to pay a small fee.
