Title pretty much says it all. I know this is a linux-based VPS forum but still anything that you could tell me would be more than appreciated. I've been looking around all day and I'm probably going to settle with PhotonVPS or something. I'm not really sure what to do but add my email account to IM/email me. Dangerousd77@hotmail.com

Needs at least 512 MB RAM, and if 512 then 512 burst. Also, at least a 1 ghz CPU.

Is botting even legal in Runescape?

If so, and it doesn't use Java, you can try to get an VPS7 from here. Otherwise you will probably won't be able to get one. You can try to get one from https://www.devyll.com/ but is requires 250 posts/month to maintain but I believe it has 2Gb/2Gb ram.

It's legal by law, and thus botting can be avised the same way alcohol is, under certain circumstances. xD

It does use Java, but thank you for the link. I make a lot of posts although otherwise I tend to be on chatrooms on Xat and individual conversations on IM accounts. A VPS in general may still be very useful for setting up a dedicated Deus Ex server. It'd have to be a cheap windows VPS though. Deus Ex will run fine even with 64 MB of RAM and a 266 mhz CPU. Therefore the dedicated server should be fine [although it has to be accessed through the game and then is set]

I used to host a dedicated server here but I couldn't keep 100% uptime. Not quite sure what I would do with a Linux VPS however.

Legal by law doesn't mean it's legal by RuneScape. I can open a site under American law, but if I put a page on there saying it's illegal on the site to talk about sheep, then I reserve the right to ban you for talking about sheep, even though the law says it's legal to talk about sheep.

Yes, but only Jagex reserves the right to take any action. Legally, no one cares or can care, besides them. Ban one of my accounts and I'll just make three more, and become smarter about how I bot.

So far, 0 bans, even though I've suicide botted many days [and I have about 8 accounts and 3 of which I use constantly.] Good fight Jagex, not even putting one up.

Jagex can take legal action against you, they probably won't given the cost and hassle would outweigh the gains. However, we try to obey the law and TOS contracts around here.

You could probably get Dues Ex to run through wine on linux. I have no idea how well it will run or how many clients you'll be able to support however.

I could, although some distributions of Linux iare pretty tricky considering I'm a Windows user that only really has some experience with Ubuntu. A server though would run well, considering bandwidth is the only constraint. CPU usage is quite minimal.

If you do bot jagex will probably never track you down, since theres a lot of people botting already, no point on just tracking them.

They have the people who play as members and what not go and bot hunt for them. There really is no macro detection. I've been reported a bunch of times without a single ban. But I play legit, at times.
