Set Up a Minecraft server (CentOS/Scientific Linux 5 or 6)
Code: yum install java-1.6.0-openjdk nano screen sudoIn the screen that opens, paste: Code: cd ~minecraft/minecraftChange the 800 to 80% of your VPSs total RAM in MB. To start the server, run Code: screen ~minecraft/start.shIf you want it to start on boot, add Code: screen -S bukkit -dmS ~minecraft/start.shAll of minecraft's files will be in ~minecraft/minecraft |

nano ~minecraft/minecraft/server.properties after you start and stop the server once.

If you can reconnect without restarting the server then it's a network issue between you and the VPS.

I have minecraft, but what is the deference between normal minecraft and bukkit servers?
