MyBB is my choice. It's quite simple and secure, though lacks some localizations. SMF's good too but way bloated I think.

I earlier said SMF, but I say MyBB now. It has a good score system, shoutbox system.
I recommend MyBB.

yes, me too before said smf but today I tryied mybb anfd its better very easxy everything easy change laungage and everything, templates... mybb is my choice ! Smile

My recommendation for this would be MyBB. SMF doesn't provide very good SEO, and other than that, MyBB is more flexible and easy to use.

I'd prefer SMF but MYBB is a lot better to use, but it's all on personal preference, I may Like MYBB but others may prefer SMF, the only real way of finding out is to install both obviously in two dir eg: /smf /mybb

As I said, best way to find out is to just test the forum software your self, they're both free so it's all good
