In the future just bootup the windows install disk, go to repair, then startup repair (assuming you are using win vista or 7). It's usually pretty good at automatically fixing it. If not, use bootrec /fixmbr and bootrec /fixboot in the command prompt.

Exactly what i was about to do i will post results when i finish 'obtaining' my windows disk.

After i got my rescue disk, i needed to put it onto a usb.... so i used http://www.pendrivelinux.com/yumi-multib...b-creator/
and it worked a charm... one click once the recovery disk was loaded.
