Computer control with eyes!
Tobii is name of Technology at CES show was used to control Windows 8 with eyes.
The company since 2000 working on that camera with eye movements, can control the computer to do.

Mouse and keyboard is the most convenient way of working with personal computers. And also using the Microsoft sensor Kinect tries to do some things through the body. Tobii says it has enough of your eyes to control your computer.

This actually isn't very hard to do. I've done it before. Granted it was a severely gimped version, but it worked.

TrackIR seems to be pretty good at taking in your face and moving the "screen" around. Watch the demo videos:

http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/

I guess this could be adapted to do that.

RE: Computer control with eyes!
Johnny Chung Lee did that with a wii remote (http://johnnylee.net/projects/wii/)
Quote:Head Tracking for Desktop VR Displays using the Wii Remote
Using the infrared camera in the Wii remote and a head mounted sensor bar (two IR LEDs), you can accurately track the location of your head and render view dependent images on the screen. This effectively transforms your display into a portal to a virtual environment. The display properly reacts to head and body movement as if it were a real window creating a realistic illusion of depth and space.

Of course, the head mounted sensor bar would look stupid, so you could improvise by attaching it to glasses or something.

RE: Computer control with eyes!
Mmm . There are a few computers with features that allow them to be controlled through movement captured on a camera , but I don't think there is a specific computer that allows them to be content *eye movement* . Well it must be a tribute to Xbox kinect and Wii Sports ...

Thanks FreeVps and PyramidServer for the VPS2 !

No. Not really. It is great if you want to simulate driving. This can be a break-through in terms of driving education, for example. It could be cheaper to use virtual reality to teach driving. Of course there would be a percentage of the drivin classes that would have to be taught using a physical car, but in the long term it would be cheaper and it would pollute less.

Also your eyes do not matter, as linked before. It recognizes the motion of your head. It also could be used at programmes where you, for example, would need to use the keyboard, the mouse and still move the screen. (I experience quite a bit while using image-related programmes)

It has a future, if the right marketing is made and they find ways to really simplify previous processes.

RE: Computer control with eyes!
in my opinion,
driving classes SHOULDN'T using simulate,
them should use reality,
for example when you play a driving game and you crash,
you can press "Restart" easily,
but if you crash at real life,
you doesn't have the button "Restart"...

About the motion control,
I think it would be cool if playing with shooting game at normal computer without VR(Virtual Reality) Big Grin
