Without a contract this is a great price, however, with a contract, you might want to pass judgement. The display is great, but if you want a really good display, you may want to look at some of the more upscale phones by Samsung. Which carrier is selling this phone at this price? That may help you decide based on their network size.

It's a good phone, but it's a little dated now; the Galaxy S III is supposed to be out soon. I don't think it will officially get ice scream sandwich (Android 4.0). You'll have to put a custom rom on to get it.

I would consider getting a newer phone if it's in your budget

Its a good phone i have a similar Galaxy B edition for south amreica countries, anyway I dont have problems with it and I still gonna use for some time around 1 or 2 more years

I think any galaxy phones are nice. They're not a cinder block, not as tall, but beware because my friends have had some problems with his galaxy, but he got a new one. So its all good.

iPhones are trash.

The SII has a bigger screen while it has 25g less than the iPhone which has a smaller screen.

With a SII you can talk longer before charging the battery than with a iPhone.

You can extend disk space with extra 32GB over a SD on a SII while the iPhone has no extra storage options.

The SII has a better CPU and GPU and moreover more RAM than a iPhone.

And one last thing before the best thing in a SII: it has better mobile Internet data transfer rates.
