Question Dropbox
I haven't earned a free VPS yet, and this post isn't spamming to get more points. I'm just looking to know if you can run dropbox on the VPS servers for easily transferring files. I'm planning to run a minecraft server and I would use dropbox to transfer the game files from the VPS to my computer and back.

Thanks, Chris

RE: Dropbox
I used to use DropBox but I am using SpiderOak now.

RE: Dropbox
Check out this link to install Dropbox on Linux: https://www.dropbox.com/install?os=lnx

But, if you just want to transfer files from the VPS to your computer, you could just do that with SFTP.

I wonder why SFTP is really slow for me but normal FTP is very fast.

I'll give SpiderOak a try, I've never heard of it before so I will have to give it a try. Thanks for the suggestion.

How would you get such programs to work with no GUI?

Thanks again, Chris

I think this is because SFTP is Secure and secure connections are generally slower. FTP is unencrypted so it can go like lightling Smile

RE: Dropbox
I use FTP over TLS but it is really faster than SFTP.
