I love wordpress because there are a lot of widgets, theme and it's theme is easy to create than joomla.

btw joomla is popular than wordpress in my country because there are a lot of web designer use joomla a lot than wordpress in here.

I really like it, but it uses way to many resources and takes a while to set up, permissions are a pain, but all in all, a good piece of software.

What I don't like is that it is not opensource, which (for people like me) is not ideal.

I uses Dolphin too. Yes, and all the modules are paid unfortunately, but it is the best social networking engine.

But if you are making or already have a static website, why would you
need a CMS, since the static means that it does not change.

Or maybe I am just mistaken at what you are meaning.

Sorry if I didn't make it clear. I meant that you create the website with the CMS then use it as a static site. Basically use the CMS power to edit the website and add stuff to it if you know what I'm saying. :-)
