hi!

pls help me about how to build a vps, we had a 12mbps connection at our office and I want to configure it as a virtual private server using centos and I will install a openvpn! can anybody post a link for the tutorial plsss!!

ahh there are some things iin life someone cannot write a tutorial for i mean depens what you want you could pretty much make a computer(server) run an xen kernal then install HyperVM that is not hard and i did it just by searching into google : how install and run xen kernal.
then i searched up about how to run Hypervm (easy)
but if you are going to run Xen kernal you need an unpartioned LVM and please remember that i did not and that cost me a little bit of money (to get the server re-installed)-_- why do you need a vps what are you going to use the server for ? you re probably better off getting a server for like 30 bucks per month.

well, you will want to get yourself debian (or cent os.) and install it to one of your computers (does not really matter what one for now) and then have it all connected to the internet and then you can install a control panel like webmin (just because its easy to explain and light on the system)

Hold on. Are you expecting to be able to use this Computer to do work on as well? Unless you setup a virtual machine in windows or something, you are going to have to use linux, or whatever OS you use, to do your work on. But, if you setup a virtual machine, its basically already a VPS.

If not, and you have a dedicated machine, why setup a VPS? It would make more sense to just use the entire machine as a server.

well lets say you use ubuntu just get ubuntu with gnome in it so you can use it as a desktop work computer aswell.
