VPS OS: which linux is the best?

I prefer both centos and ubuntu both have best performance for server use.

Windows server 2008 and ubuntu is my choice cos windows server is powerful and ubuntu is also great for low end servers

Although I have professionally not hosted a always-on available server to the public, I have experience with Debian and Ubuntu - in the bunch, I would choose Ubuntu because of it's wide-spread circle of users and responsive support on board or more learning materials.

Windows (used Server 2003) is only easier on navigating to features, but it get's confusing for the operator when shell tasks must be completed because there is no GUI.

For server stuff I'd say Debian has more learning materials and better support than ubuntu.

f8ll we have quite a contrary opinion. Maybe I think the Ubuntu community is significantly better at support because we have a great local support community at current.

I definitely agree that Ubuntu has greater support, but most of the support is for Desktops and only a fraction of their community deals with server stuff.

i only like to use cent os or Debian. i may be a bit blind sighted though.
