Javac appears to not be working. I didn't find anything called javac in /usr/java/jre/bin

you need the jdk not the jre for javac

32-bit x86 SDK if you need javac. I'd go for the rpm, but you can install it with their installer if you like (the .bin)

go with the .bin its way too complicated to figure out everything without the knowledge of how it installs. i would be searching for hours because the rpm doesn't install java in the bin folder.

Well, i've installed ibm jre and create a symbolic link for java. But when i do java, i get

java: error while loading shared libraries: libjsig.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Anybody know what's going on ?
