Great pack but as someone already mentioned, some universities and mine too don't offer .edu emails for students Skeptical

You can still grab this pack, Just take a picture of your school/college identity card and submit it to Github and wait for reply.
I also dont have a .edu email address, I do the same, Now waiting for reply.

Ok. It appears I'm causing some confusion. I've edited the post now. Should be clear Smile

Those who don`t have .edu domain address can upload scan copy of their ID Card to get this offer, it will take a week for them to verify though.

I've got an EDU email from a rare provider (not one of those known saturated services) but it's not from US/Canada.

Do you know if they accept international students using .edu.XXX email format?

From what I know, everything is manually verified, so I guess they do. However, I also assume that they check if your e-mail address belongs to a school.

(technically speaking, they don't require e-mail to be .edu, but it must be school issued)

I added my .edu and verified it as a third email on my account and I was automatically accepted once I filled out the request form. I assume it automatically approves if it can be verified as a real school. There aren't many .edu domains that aren't schools.

Contact Digital Ocean and tell them you got a promotional code from GitHub Education and they'll probably approve it.

Just to note the Bitnami one also needs a Amazon EC2 account which only includes one free year of 750 Hours. So you'd need to pay once you run out of that.

Well more than one week passed an i didnt still get approved
i think its because of a large amount of applications running

i applied last 10th of october

12th of October and just got approved. It's been 12 days although they promise a week processing time. I sent them a copy of my student card, because I did not have a .edu email, and they accepted it.
