Github for Students offers free .me domain with SSL
Well today i got accepted for it by just using my standard school email that's not .edu. But disappointing that most services aws, azure, DO needs credit card in file to use the credit ...
Damn, offers like these never actually works for almost everyone. I think there should be another criteria to make sure the applying user is a student or not. .edu doesn't make sense at all cases. Some students doesn't even have a good functional websites.. They prefer .com instead of .edu schools for most of the times ( in india at least ).
Thank you   http://hostdare.com/  and https://freevps.us for FREE VPS!

@Sahil

The offers do work, and they work well.
I can't really ask for more, especially for free.

Yes, it still is. Click Student Pack at the top (https://education.github.com/pack) and scroll down to Namecheap.

They don't have any type of requirement regarding the email address first domain so it doesn't have to be .edu. I even managed to enroll when I was in high school and they didn't provide us with any personal email, I just had to contact them and after I proved that I was a student they accepted me
