Free Chinese certificates: yay or nay?

In my opinion, free ssl didn't good for professional side. I mean like for account billing on online shop, and for whmcs / blesta.
So, actually i didn't interested with free ssl one.. (btw, i'm not professional user) Happywide
Thanks FreeVPS.us and ZXPlay for VPS7 Smile

Don't be a racist. There're more good things made in China than bad ones... Cheap things are bad in any country so if you want quality you should invest more...

On topic: I own two certs and so far i ain't got no problem with them, and also the sites load very fast even without OCSP stapling.

Certificate is just like the other free SSL provider StartSSL. I myself have happily been using WoSign for a little while no without issues whatsoever.
But I do indeed look forward to when Let's Encrypt release their certificates, they seem to be getting attention so people might trust them more in production.

Three free certificate providers that are trusted among major browsers is good! We are slowly moving from SSL certificates being a paid thing to be free for personal people.
Also CloudFlare gives free form some CA but they do MITM and they are SNI so we don't count them, there are probably other joke CAs that have non-trusted certs too.

Some kind of bad news? https://freessl.wosign.com/1138.html

In short: From the 18th Sept 2015 the certificates will only be valid for one year and only one domain per certificate. All because of the low demand which is probably related to the fears and issues regarding privacy.

I personally agree most with post #2 (by @HR). As long as the necessary precautions are taken, there is no chance of China decrypting your traffic Smile Of course this isn't suitable for a big ecom opperation, but you would want an EV cert for that anyway.

im interested in using their certificate, but i have question they say that you can use up to 5 domains for a period of 2 years, so this means that after 2 years it wont be free anymore?

It is free. But now it's just 1 domain per cert and only up to 1 year validity.

The WoSign certificates are still free for 3 years if used with up to 4 domains. If used with 5 domains you can only get it for 2 years. Above 5 domains it costs money.

Up to 4 domains - 3 years

5 domains - 2 years:
