Post4VPS.com - Post2host forum

Not sure whether it is easily doable for post4vps, but wouldn't it be better to move the Forum to a VPS with more consistent up time?  You had been doing so well lately - it's a pity the Forum had to go down.
I see the information below, should I quote it or not?
They said we should expect for 72 hours downtime for backup and drive replacement. It's not really good, hope they fix it faster.

It should be back online on 16 or 15 March.

We are currently thinking to implement failover backup server but first we need to have our current server up so the sync can be perfect .
I don't know why i added my signature, have a better suggestion for my signature? PM me.
@TrK
Should be simple.

Master-Master MySQL replication
and lsyncd on the web directory.

You could use a DNS provider like Geoscaling to script something that detects downtime and switch dns records.
@Conan
Geoscaling is pretty good to have the failover dns service within the free plan however i was thinking of an API based cronjob to replace the A record when the server throws status code other then 200, well i guess i can give a try to geoscaling though it does have some pretty features too.

@TrK
The problem with that is when your server goes down. The cronjob would die as well.

IIRC geoscaling supports failover by itself without scripting. So that would be a plus. (Cloudflare only supports round robin. so yeah)
@Conan
I was thinking to make cronjob on my personal server i have from SSDblaze but i guess i might go with geoscaling afterall. Thanks for the suggestion +1

I hope Post4VPS has a backup. It's been like a week and I see no sign of them. It was good alternate Post for VPS forum.
Yeah. Forum like that should had taken daily backups. I hope they have so they can move the forum to somewhere else at least temporarily. One week is a very long down time. Ironically this problem has started just after the monthly give away started.

P4V is back online, but, what I see here, their node got reinstalled, and I only see Apache 2 welcome page.
I hope they have backup for the forum.
