Post4VPS.com - Post2host forum
In the past 6 days, Post4VPS had experienced a big Downtime due to some problem which was going on at the Host of the Post4VPS Forum(At GalaxyHostPlus) and looks like the maintenance had taken more than enough time for it to be fixed (though at the end we came to know from GalaxyHostPlus that the data of the Host can't be able to recovered and thus we decided to import one of the backups which were taken by us on daily basis).

And For now we have Hosted the Forum at a Temporarily Host until we renovate our Old Host.
From next time we would take some serious measures regarding these types of Downtimes. We are planing to backend the Forum with more than 1 host so if anyone of them goes down then other will always be there to keep the forum always Online.

Since the Downtime had taken place in the Middle of the Giveaway, we would be expanding the Giveaway Closure dates so Our Users can get more time to Apply.

It's only of few hours of data lost.
It's been backuped from a 10th March Backup.(when the Forum was lastly online before the downtime).

I'm glad that they are back online, but it makes me wonder why GalaxyHostPlus is going down randomly lately for a few days. It's really inconvenience when you want to use it but find out that it's currently down for some reason. I wonder what's causing all the issues with them right now. I wanted to move my webserver to the paid container I have with them but I really don't want my site going down randomly every so often.

As per the recent conversation they are likely to be working more on improving their services however its always better to have atleast an active daily backup manually or automated. Sometimes incidents ought to be happened so there is nothing we can do to prevent the only thing we are able to do is try our hardest to work it out so all good if ends good. As for the future preference i would likely to be avoid maintenance notice and will temporarily move our content to the other server till the service is back online perfectly.
I don't know why i added my signature, have a better suggestion for my signature? PM me.

I'm glad they are planning to deploy more than one server to serve the website.  It prevents downtime from happening.  If it's some completely unrelated host, chances are it won't go down at the same time together.  However, I really do think using a sponsored container for hosting their main site is a really bad idea.  It's not really expensive to grab a container that you paid for yourself, say one from Hetzner, their rates start at 2.49/mo.  It's not that expensive so they really should just spend those few bucks.

What you mean? GalaxyHostplus is no longer a sponsor of Post4VPS Forum,
All VPS from them which are used at Post4VPS (the host + vpses for user) all are paid by Us.

Glad to know Post4VPS is back online. We need services like these to exist. Hope, it will run smoothly now.

In addition, as far as I know it was only one Node that was affected, and post4VPS just happened to be on that node.  I still have full confidence in GHP.  It's just been a period of necessary maintenance, and looks as though post4VPS now has a backup plan when future maintenance like this should happen again.  So there's a silver lining to it to a certain extent.

Looks as though traffic at post4VPS is back to normal as I found plenty of threads to post to.  Loss of potential posts were not as big as expected.  Am glad for this as at the time when the Forum experienced down time, the morale had been great and there had been a revival of interest.  Glad that that had not been as negatively affected as one would have thought it would and the morale is still as good as it had been just before it went down.

Oh really? Wasn't aware of that.

They've been going down randomly lately for a few days at a time, I wonder what's up with them lately. Maybe a load balancer might help with reducing the chance for it to go down. Good luck with that!
