Dedicated Server Virtualization
#1
Hello FreeVPS Team

i received a Dedicated Server to learn and test my work, but i have no experience with virtualization at all,  and i'm suppose to create a Panel, i've learned ways to work around with it, but only problem i'm experiencing is that i do not have multiple IPv4's to work, i only have 1 public IP,

1) I tried NAT/SNAT with iptables but failed to configure it properly
(USED https://wiki.openvz.org/Using_NAT_for_co...rivate_IPs)

My virtualization is OpenVZ , can you guys please help me with this

Only way i can think of is port forwarding with internal IPs but as i said i do not have any experience in virtualization so may be there are more ways to do it,

Best Regards

A panel?
Simple -- if you know how to do PHP and BASH backends, this would be a piece of cake.

Anyways, NAT can be setup after you create a loopback network, and use IPtables to forward ports.
Just wandering around, nothing more.

(Wow, it's been years and it took me this long to realize I had a typo in my signature :/)

that involves reading posts too (unless he takes you to skype). so why dont you start with google for the basics and then ask specific questions.
Many thanks to Freevps, Chris (cw1998), The Guy( ID 4810), optimus, GHP and the other  staff members.

you don't have the 'lo' interface in ifconfig?
AFAIK you just need to allow all data to the 'lo' interface in iptables. (That's how I do it)

A quick google search gave me good results

The wiki of OpenVZ is pretty easy to understand though. I might try doing it on my KVM vps
