[SOLVED] limiting bandwidth usage for an application?

So lrts say im running a game server.
For some security measures, I would like to limit bandwidth usage to less than half the's speed.

Is it possible ?

You can use trickle to shape and limit bandwidth for any program. There is also wondershaper which however limits bandwidth per interface.
