You don't need another VPS to run another game server.

You can just run it on another port.

Depending on what you run the VPS might not handle running two instances of gameservers and in some games a specific port is required for lets say connecting by entering the IP only and if it's not this exact port then you have to specify the port too when connecting. Of course this can all be avoided with a lobby that is synced up with let's say for example the Steam Master Server.

I believe two VPS's might be a good go for people who need more resources. However, there are VPS's here with significantly more resources compared to others so do we really need it? Well, despite this I'm a man that likes to see reforms so I guess this is good.

I mean minimum 30 posts required to request for 1st VPS.Users can request for 2 VPSes in same month?

In order to apply for a second VPS, the member must already have a VPS, therefore, you can't apply for 2 VPSs in one go. Unless I suppose, you get your first VPS, then apply for a second before the end of the giveaway. These are things that will have to be discussed with the staff. But we will keep you up to date with any changes to rules. But for now, you can't apply for two VPSs in one request. You must have a VPS before you can request a second.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the feedback, I will also discuss this with the staff to see if something like this can be arranged, but we have told members in the past who make extra posts, that it is completely their choice if they want to make extra posts in one month. We only require you make 20 posts in one month to keep one VPS, so anything extra is just to build up points for maybe applying for a better VPS in future giveaways or for your own enjoyment if you don't plan on changing VPSs.

I don't think that something like this will come in mainly due to the fact that it will be harder to keep track of posts counts if some are exempt from making posts. It would be a lot of extra work for me to figure out how many posts they are exempt from in the month, then go and count them. Doesn't sound like a lot, but for 60+ users, those small amounts of time per user will quickly add up. But I will discuss it with the rest of the staff to see what they think Smile

I am sorry, just another doubt, suppose I have received 2nd VPS on giveaway of october 15, but I failed to make 40 posts, so I lost the 2nd VPS on November 1, can I apply for 2nd VPS again in the next giveaway(November 15)?

I suppose you can do it. It has been stated clearly that the two VPSs will be treated seperately.

The problem is you will have to set up everything again for your new 2nd VPS if you do win on November 15. I would rather try my best to finish 40 posts if I were you.

I think that in the first half month it is not required to make 40 posts to keep two VPSs.
But from the first full month you must make 40 posts otherwise the second VPS will be deleted.
Of course this not an official statement, it is only my opinion.

This is true for owning one VPS at least. We generally do not require you to make the full 20 posts quota in the first 12-15 days that you have the VPS, as for new users this is generally covered by the 30 post requirement, which they will have been working on. But if a user who has had a VPS before is reapplying, and I see that they have made 0 posts in that month, I may decide to send them a PM to check if they are still active.

However, LittleMaster has brought up a good question, which I will add to my message for the staff members for discussion at the end of the giveaway (sort of a report of how the new system has performed during its first month).
But if you get a second VPS on the 15th of the month, you will still be required to complete 20 posts in order to keep your first VPS, but as always, we will let you know of any changes to rules.

Also, LittleMaster mentioned about reapplying for a second VPS. This is fine if you lose your second VPS, and want to reapply (maybe a one off event prevented you from meeting the post requirement), but if we notice that a member is consistently losing and reapplying for a second VPS, we may say no to future requests for a second VPS from that member.
