[SOLVED] GalaxyHostPlus France network maintenance

Dear FreeVPS GalaxyHostPlus VPS 5 Owners,

Due to issues with their network at their France location GalaxyHostPlus is performing network maintenance together with OVH to fix the issues with their new vRack setup.

VPSs will be offline during this maintenance as the network has been put offline to debug and fix the issue. We have not received an ETA when this will be completed but we hope for it to be finished as soon as possible.

On the other hand, OVH did experience a couple minutes of down time the other day...
Perhaps that was the issue?

(my OVH proxy was down on the 3rd of April -- come to think of it, a lot of the core services on OVH are down right now as shown on http://status.ovh.com)

I've been checking the topic about their unstable network from time to time and I'm glad they are paying attention even to the VPS's they are sponsoring.

Can't say anything except GalaxyHostPlus is the coolest

Hello.

At this moment we provided temp solution to the network by running ifup eth1 by cron every 1h
We have talked by phone today with OVH Tech from UK we also contacted our OVH account manager all details were collected about this issue and forwarded to Network Administrator in the Data Center we hope to restore fully network soon.
If anyone have his VPS offline please sent me PM. IP probably is used for Broadcast or Gateway.

Hello.

OVH have replaced our Network cables today at 14:50 PM UK Time.
We are monitoring our server for next 24 Hours to check if network will shutdown itself again.

Issue still detected on Network next step replace network card.
We are waiting for OVH tech for replacement.

According to https://secure.galaxyhostplus.com/serverstatus.php OVH is working on their server as of today in another attempt to identify the issue and fix it.

Thanks HR for the latest update. It seems they now focus on finding out the root cause. Hope they will soon come up with a permanent fix for the connectivity issue.

Work on their servers by OVH continues with the goal to find the root issue and solve it.
