(I can't find their forum post about this)
They offer free support at their public forum in their free plan.

For their paid plans they offer support by email and all locations are available.

Thanks for the info HXY - very useful.  May be worth joining just for the experience of VestaCP from a user perspective.  Would be curious to see how they set it up.

They probably don't care much about the ui. As long as it seems actively run, and besides, that free service has been running as a project by Joe Dougherty, co-founder of Secure Dragon LLC. and previous administrator of FreeWebHostingTalk.com.

Be sure to read their FAQs though for precaution.

Call up your lawyer, tell them you put your priceless data on a free web hosting service without any backup plans in place, after he's done laughing hang up the phone and place your complaint in a bottle and throw it in the nearest body of water. It'll find us eventually I'm sure.

I registered with afreecloud this morning. Think it's growing on me. Everything is bare bones, simple and basic but works very well and very fast so far. I usually use a proxy to register because I am resident in the Middle East and my IP is a shared IP with spammers and what not. Afreecloud has a specific rule not to use a proxy and I then didn't use a proxy, wondering whether that would be the end of the application. Haven't had any worries so far on that score.

I'm now waiting to be approved for a VestaPanel hosting account.

I also joined the Forum and looks quite bare bones and limited to Server Announcements by the staff and feedback about problems from hosted members. A good support forum. It's a very clean, current and active Forum with no spam. Have a feeling this may turn into a good hosting account for me. Fingers crossed.

Am totally impressed with the hosting account.  afreecloud.com said it would take 1-3 days to set it up, and it was ready within hours of making my application.  It's the fastest hosting account I've ever had in my hosting experience.  Totally blew me away.  VestaPanel takes a bit of a learning curve particularly with being used to cPanel, but within an hour or more I had a WordPress site up and running.  Just couldn't believe the speed with which I could upload themes and plugins.  It's unbelievably fast.  What really gets me is I'm located in the Middle East and the Servers are in Nevada and California.  I'd have expected it to be much slower than the average speed of my other shared hosting of which the hosts are located in Europe.

Thanks for the suggestion Xinen!   :good:

I have also requested a hosing account, hoping that it will be set up in no time, they have VestaPanel available and it would be good to learn about a new control panel, hoping it would be noob friendly, and fast as most of the post here swear that this new service is good for a small website or a small blog, hoping it would measure up to the standards that are said here.

The Vestapanel is not noob friendly. Also when you are sent your free account details it only consists of a user name and password.  Nothing more. There is no help or documentation and the assumption is that it is an unmanaged account although you can open a ticket for urgent inquiries or ask a question in the Forum.  The owner prefers a ticket for urgent inquiries. One thing to keep in mind is that the sub-domain that you're set up with takes a while to propagate. Like you have to give it some time, maybe a few hours or even a day after your account has been set up, for the sub-domain to work first.

Vestapanel has some quirks in it.  Like it has a different user style.  By way of a summary, the panel at the top - USER, WEB, etc are links that resolve to the panel directly below it.  The bottom "action" panel corresponds with the link you choose in the top navigation.  You have to hover your mouse over the bottom action panel in order to see some of the action links - particularly in the top right hand corner of the bottom panel.  The default window is USER with your account info.  You can usually create a domain with the green plus globe in the USER window but not with the free account as it only allows you the domain that is given to you.  I haven't tried to create a sub-domain of the sub-domain I was set up with yet.  I should try to do that today just for giving it a try.

I call VestaCP a Hide and Seek CP.  I spent almost an hour trying to find the FTP feature so I could set up an account, as of course VestaCP doesn't come with a File Manager - you do need FTP.  I finally found it in the WEB link.  Click on WEB and then when you hover your mouse in the top right corner of the bottom panel you'll see an edit domain action link.  Click on that.  And then scroll down right to the bottom of the page where you can create an "additional" FTP.  Nice feature here is you can get it to send the info to your e-mail account. Important lesson I learned is that when the domain host doesn't work in Filezilla, you can use the IP that was given instead of the domain host name.

Databases are easy to create in the Database section.  I haven't had need to fiddle with the DNS or CRON however got to learn the workings of the DNS as in the beginning I thought the Subdomain I was given didn't work. Eventually it did work and I learned it takes time for the subdomain to propagate after it has been set up for you.  I've noticed that the VestaCP panel automatically makes backups every day, whether one chooses to have one or not. I'm not worried about backup as I've only got my blog so far and I create regular backups with my Duplicator Plugin.  I'm happy with this account though.  Like I'm like a kid with a new toy with it. I've got plenty of free shared hosting space elsewhere, but this one is the fastest I've ever had before.

I for fun created a VestaCP blog with the free account which I'm using to record my learning curve of VestaCP.  Objective is to later try to set up VestaCP on a VPS.  My challenge for Summer of 2016 Smile

Thank deanhills for confirming that VestaCP is not at all noob friendly, and it would require a lot of time and internet bandwidth to learn about it. but I hope it will help inprove my knowledge on how internet works and it's not bad to learn about a new CP and not to mention that I will be regularly visiting your Blog for help that I definitely will be needing.
Still waiting for the activation of free service as the status is pending.

Hope you get activated soon abhishek.  Sorry if I sounded negative about the learning that is needed.  It's not as bad as that at all.  It's one of the best and at the moment my favourite free hosting account so I sincerely hope you get your account soon.  The speed of the hosting is unbelievably fast.
