Free SSL Providers!
#1
Hey guys, I am going to tell you about free SSL providers that are trusted by most browsers.
I will make a list, but how high it is (1-10) doesn't mean how good it is. Place in the list doesn't matter.
Ok, lets begin:

(1) Comodo Free SSL:
Get a certificate using a CSR. Wildcard are not supported with the free version, and renewal is hard, as this is seen as a free trial. You are allowed to request one certificate per account. Valid for 90 days/Possibly downgraded to 30.

(2) SSL.com:
Get a certificate also using a CSR. Wildcard is not support with free SSL, but I believe that renewal is easy, by pasting in a new CSR. You are allowed to request unlimited certificates per account (from what I have seen). Valid for 90 days. I have used them in the past, and they are reliable. One account lets you issue many certificates. You have to register under "free trial SSL". No payment information needed.

(3) Let's Encrypt or CertBot:
Get a certificate using your own computer (issue certificates on your own). I made a tutorial on this in the "Tutorials" section, you should check it out. If you go to the GitHub page of CertBot, there are alternative ways on issuing certificates. The certificates are valid for 90 days, and you can issue unlimited domains (not wildcard). Renewal is a breeze (using the linux version) by typing a command or using cronjob.

(4) WoSign:
DO NOT USE- NOT TRUSTED // NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING BAD HAPPENING!!!

(5) StartSSL:

(6) Symantec:
It's a free trial for 30 days.

(7) AlphaSSL Wildcard:
Free wildcard SSL, but try to keep a very low profile. This certificate can be revoked.

(8) ZeroSSL:
Free SSL, I heard about it on this website. I personally have never tried it out. Use at your own risk.

(9) SSLForFree:
I don't know about this one. I assume it's just another Let's Encrypt script.

(10): Trustico:
I believe this is one of the more credible Root CA's. It's active for 30 days only.

Well, thats all I want to write right now. Have fun.

If you found this helpful, please rate it. It helps me a lot!!!

I have used WoSign personally for 3 years. Comodo takes a review to get accepted and it was not easy for me to get an account there.

The SSL providers you mentioned are quite known. May be you could have mentioned something new?

StartSSL allows up to 5 domains per certificate and lasts up to 1 year. (Just a recommendation to add this info to your post Happywide )

It  is   good free ssl providers list .

Currently  I am using  Let's Encrypt  SSL into my website.

I also  used  and test  Comodo free  SSL  , SSL.com   and  Wosign for few month  all  are good ssl providers

For test  I  just  try  to implement StartEncrypt  Lite    https://www.startssl.com/StartEncrypt    but i did not get success.

With CF COMODO certificates are easy to handle. You just need CF account and activate ssl and it will handle everything for you. I also like Let's encrypt. More and more people are using it.

Do these services provide us with free certificates?
Or do we have to get the certificates from somewhere else?
I would like to thank freevps.us for the knowldge i gained through your forum.
