Never used the extension, but thank's for letting everyone know. I trust the extensions from completely unknown developer when they let people view their source code ie they are open source. So one can dive into the code to see if anything is jeopardizing the security and privacy or not.
The software does not have to be free for it to be open source.
Lol i never use any other extension, I don't trust them or neither any antivirus that force install toolbars and other ads in your computer. I have been using malwarebytes and never had any problem
Fortunately like many other freevps members I've never used that kind of browser extension. However firefox who have already identified the issue should alert the respective audience too. Looking at the amount of information collected by that extension, it's pretty harmful for the victim users. I mean alerting by email or something will surely help me them change their security measures I guess. Anyway HXY, thank you for sharing this useful post.

I hardly use much toolbars, extensions, and etc on my pc. I have a adblocker, https everywhere, and no script. I like my browser the way it is. I love Firefox. :p
