Whats your thought on Oneplus 5?
It does look like a good phone, but it looks really similar to the iPhone 7. Brands copying from each other is not great at all since there are no special features that other phones don't have. Anyway, I'm not planning to buy it.

Thanks to FreeVPS.us and Hostigation for VPS 18!
what I like most about it is the snapdragon 835. It is awesome. May be it will allow one to install windows 10 in the future and work on a bigger screen. Cause MS is already working on that.

But too costly Sad
Many thanks to Freevps, Chris (cw1998), The Guy( ID 4810), ZXPlay and the staff for my vps.

Actually according to the review you linked, OnePlus 5 *does* have a 3.5mm headphone jack. I also don't see anything along the lines of "if you already have OnePlus 3, then the OnePlus 5 is not worth upgrading to" in the review. What it says regarding OnePlus 3 is that "It’s not quite the revolutionary step forward that the OnePlus 3 was, but there are solid improvements across the board."

I have a feeling that the review was edited, as when I first read it it was all in one Web page.  It's now been broken up in a few.

Regarding the 3.55mm headphone jack:

Quote:There’s a headphone jack and Dash Charge-capable USB-C port on the bottom, along with a microphone and mono speaker, plus a dual-Nano SIM tray on the side. I’d have preferred a microSD slot, or a hybrid slot, but at least there’s a decent amount of base storage here.

The above is definitely edited from the last time I read it and basically it's the same thing.  There isn't a dedicated headphone jack.  There is one port for the charger that doubles up as a headphone jack.  So you can't do both at the same time.

With regard to the statement about no real incentive for OnePlus 3 to upgrade to OnePlus 5, that has been edited too.  Guess OnePlus must have taken issue with the review or something to that effect which led to the review being edited.  Think
Definitely OnePlus 5 is a great phone at a price lesser than flagship devices.
I personally feels the RAM thing is just a hype, and a phone wouldn't need so much of RAM.
Though I am using a Xiaomi device and am happy with it, so no plans to upgrade.
I would like to thank freevps.us for the knowldge i gained through your forum.

When people say that there's a headphone jack, it means a dedicated headphone jack. If you watch the video on the review you linked, around 1:40 mark the reviewer talks about and shows a headphone jack *and* a USB-C port. They are 2 separate ports.
I watched a bit of the announcement live. Honestly, the only "new" feature that I like is the full page screenshot. lol.

It's a pretty meh phone for me.

Personally, I think that the 1+5 has great specs, but horrible design. It looks like a straight up ripoff of the iPhone 7 design, from the dual-camera setup to the location of the logo. Additionally, I don't see it as much of a "flagship killer" anymore as $500 is enough to get a decent flagship phone these days (the price has also been increasing with each iteration of Oneplus phones).
