I don't need to update from 14.04 now because I already updated to 16.04 from the panel Cool

Looks like now Ubuntu 16 is available in OS list at control panel. I'm planning to redo my web server so I guess I ll use that next time. Anyone here has used Ubuntu 16 86x with Virtualmin ?

It's available but for me it was broken and CW had fixed it, but he also left instructions on how to earlier in the thread. Not sure if they completely fixed it yet

I had to access to it from serial console because root login was not working, also, I had to make a user with sudo powers, login and change to root using sudo su but it fixed my issue. What do you mean by broken?

I made the update using console and ever and I didn't get any trouble. The installation took about 20 minutes and problem solved and no error with login with ssh.
Thanks FreeVPS.us and Hostigation for VPS 18

20 minutes? is it normal to take that time long? yes, vps 18 only has 512 MB of RAM (512 MB burst) but how can it took that much for distro's update?

Well, my upgrade took like 2 min, and everything is fine after that. I am still using those upgraded servers in production now without any problems.

EDIT: It seems the problem is solved, i believe this thread should be marked as solved and closed?
