What do you think of...

First question from my series of "Gaming" What do you think of is...

What do you think of playing Minecraft Modded servers?
Apparently, I have one hosted with my custom pack, but I'm curious what players overall think about that sort of things.

Well depends on the server's speed and the stuff you can do in your server in general with minecraft

What does modded servers have to do with server speed? The OP asked whether modded Minecraft servers are more sought after or avoided. The server speed is irrelevant as it will be a hosting issue. Sure, a modded server may demand more resources than the host server has to offer. Which may lead to an unpleasant experience. But that's something the owner must take into consideration when choosing which mods to install. Or he can simply choose to get a better host in order to scale with the needs of the chosen mods. If he doesn't do that then that's his problem. The same issue can be experienced with a vanilla server that's hosted on a machine that's bellow the minimum server requirements. So you can't say this is specific to modded servers. Even though it is more popular there.

Of course, your reply can be interpreted as "I don't play on modded servers because they lag", Which is an acceptable response. But still, the hosting issue is something to be taken into consideration the moment you chose whether to install mods or not.

Let me clear that up, i am saying that people will enjoy custom mods server if there's custom stuff to do than general vanilla stuff. And ram is a clearly indication of how fast the minecraft server will run, i typically saw 4gb minimum but i have helped created server that's 2gb but with less players + plugins..
