Well at the start there were 64MB Ram VMs so still not bad as you don't pay for it so no one should complain Cheese

Completely agreed.  In fact, it even feels like an understatement.  I haven't seen such a weak giveaway since I joined last year in February. Doubt I'll be participating in this one which is sad, as I was all gung ho and fully prepared for a new VPS after losing VPS 27.

Ah well, all good things come to those who wait, and it took lots of waiting before I finally got VPS 27.  I'll just wait until the right one comes along even if it means waiting out a few giveaways.

Go for VPS 18.
Because VPS 18 looks better than other competitor in terms of Disk Space, Bandwidth and other requirements like Linkback and Game Server etc...
All the best to all the participation.

I might swap out my VPS 15 for the VPS 18, could use the extra disk space, but I feel like people will be fighting over it since there's not enough VPS to go around.  Thanks for doing this one last giveaway, you've been amazing at helping everyone here, and good luck to the new giveaway manager, whoever it might be!
Thank you HostUS for VPS 16!

Check out @coreyman's Free VPS Club for a free VPS with only 15 posts/month!

Adding on to what @JanuszC said, we should be grateful for whatever VPS we get; after all, it is a free service and the sponsors are under no obligation to provide the service.
Now, if this is your first giveaway, take it -- it's something, and it's more than enough to run a web server, IRC services (if permitted), a small gameserver (also dependent on provider), etc. There's always something to do, and really, small VPS servers like this force you to optimize and work with what you have. I remember my first VPS (Host1Free) with 128MB of memory, and while it wasn't much in terms of memory, it was more than enough to run an installation of Webmin and a webserver.

As for you @cw1998, I appreciate the work you've done in the community, and I do hope you stick around as a member. I'm sure you're quite happy about this as well, because you can soon contribute as a regular member, rather than having to speak as a staff member all the time.

Best of wishes to you, Chris!

Rest in peace, FreeVPS. The forum will be sorely missed.

@IEpicDestroyer

Go for it, you might be surprised. A lot of people will turn their noses up at VPSes with less than 1GB RAM.

Yeah these VPSes are available for the low low "price" of making 15 posts a month. People should look at alternatives like Low End Box if they want better specs instead of complaining about the poor specs here.

The 1st stage of the giveaway has now ended. No VPSs were given out, but the second stage will run as normal for the next 24 hours.

Hmm I think this is the first time nobody have claimed a vps from a give away here. Strange thing is not even those VPS18 servers were taken. Maybe it's time to find few more new sponsors.
