Nice hardware with a good specification specially Arduino. And they are smart to add windows OS .

Wow looks cool.
Specification really look nice. We can use it as dedicated server in home.

Lot more better than Raspberry PI 3. But recently i bought it for ~40USD in India. Using it for my personal cloud and git server.

Yes, it can be powered through a battery or powerbank. I have tested this with my Amazon 16000 mhA powerbank and it worked perfectly. You need a powerbank or battery that outputs 5V @ 2.5A atleast to power the LattePanda properly. My Amazon powerbank has a maximal output of 5V @ 2.8A. LattePanda can run at up to 5V @ 3A through the micro USB power connector or the onboard CN2 headers.

I'm not sure why you all say it will be extremely expensive because you are in country X instead of country Y. You order it from dfrobot and the price is the same for everyone. Only issue would be the shipping price that could be high if you don't want to wait long. Customs and etc isn't a problem. The board is far over the customs limit of my country and I didn't have to pay anything extra. I got mine in just 4 days because I bit into the sour apple and paid 28 € for DHL Express to have a fast and safe shipping. They have cheaper shipping options (a lot cheaper) but they take longer if you are willing to wait.

While if you would specifically buy from a store in your country you'd pay a lot more. Why would you want to do this? I paid 128 € for the LattePanda while in my country on Amazon and other shops it is atleast 158 € and much more. I would rather invest this money into better & safe shipping option than buying from a local store where I would have to pay a lot more for all the other additional stuff that one needs to run it and additional shipping costs.
i think i want that, but im afraid with tax .in my country buy from another country buyying more than $50 get taxxed.Sad

I'm using Ubuntu for kodi usage. But I installed the minimal version and then I installed the desktop. Everything is working fine until this moment. I didn't have trouble with drivers at all and it is working stable

That's awesome. Which version of Ubuntu? Did you install the mainline kernel for LattePanda? And which hardware version of the LattePanda do you have? Like do you have one with a Z8300 or a Z8350? Newer ones have Z8350 CPUs.

I've been going through the forums on LattePanda and the Linux on the LattePanda discussion thread was pretty much only full with problem and a link to a mainline kernel but the mainline kernel on Github actually lists some important things as not working.

Similar machine without GPIO ports, but for just 35 US dollars: https://www.gearbest.com/tv-box-mini-pc/pp_324847.html

Do you still have the parcel's packaging? What was it declared as in value?

Here you go: https://imgur.com/a/iPACC

I've cut away all my details and etc. This is the commerical invoice that was in the package. There is also a packing list that simply lists the three products I bought off Dfrobot without prices. This commercial invoice is also the customs declaration made by Dfrobot. The package passed customs without issues and I didn't have to pay anything additional.

Mmph. Hit or miss here, as the tax-free limit is $20 CAD (rougly $15.70 USD as of now) if I want to order more than one.

I guess I'll stick to Chinese boards...
